The Nadiya Foundation and Valery Dubil received high honours from the Mechnikov Hospital for their contribution to saving lives.

The Nadiya Foundation and Valery Dubil received high honours from the Mechnikov Hospital for their contribution to saving lives.

On International Volunteer Day, the Mechnikov Regional Clinical Hospital in Dnipropetrovsk honoured the Nadiya Youth Initiative Charitable Foundation and the chairman of the foundation's supervisory board, Valery Dubil, first deputy chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health, for their many years of support, systematic assistance to the medical facility, and significant contribution to saving wounded military personnel and civilians.

For more than ten years, the Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital has remained one of the key centres for rescuing seriously wounded people from the hottest spots on the eastern front. This is a hospital where the fate of people brought from the front line in critical condition, as well as civilians who have fallen victim to enemy shelling, is decided every day.

Under the leadership of Serhiy Ryzhenko, the medical team is doing unique work: 51,000 wounded military personnel and civilians have been treated at Mechnikov, and 96% of them have been saved. Behind each number is a restored life, a saved family, a chance to return home.

The Nadiya Youth Initiative Charitable Foundation, led by Valery Dubil and co-founder Vita Prysyazhnyuk, has been supporting the hospital since the first weeks of the full-scale invasion.

They have purchased operating tables, donated Easy Pulse cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices, ventilators, surgical electrical systems, tons of medical supplies, consumables, medicines, care and rehabilitation products.

"It is a great honour for us to receive this award from the Mechnikov Hospital. But the highest reward is the lives saved together with the heroic doctors. We will always stand by the doctors, nurses and junior medical staff who, every day, in difficult conditions, remain faithful to their calling and their mission.

Thank you to the volunteers and partners of the Nadiya Foundation — your unity, dedication and kind hearts are a great force. Together, we are doing what Ukraine needs most today — saving lives," said Valery Dubil.
